Srinagar, March 28 -- Jumat-ul-Vida, the last Friday of the holy month of Ramzan, was observed with religious fervour across the Kashmir valley on Friday.

The mosques and shrines across the valley witnessed a huge rush of devotees to offer Friday prayers.

The largest congregation in Srinagar was held at Hazratbal shrine, on the banks of Dal lake. The shrine houses the holy relic of Prophet Muhammad.

J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and his father Farooq Abdullah were among thousands of devotees who offered Friday prayers at the Hazratbal shrine.

Large gatherings for Friday prayers were held at different mosques in all the districts of the Valley. Congregational prayers were not held at the Srinagar historic Jamia Masjid in the old city...
