Srinagar, Sept. 8 -- An encounter broke out between militants and security forces in the Guddar forest area of Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam district, police said.
Based on specific intelligence inputs about the presence of militants, officials said a joint team comprising the Army, CRPF, and the Special Operations Group (SOG) of J&K Police launched a cordon-and-search operation in the Guddar forest area.
