Srinagar, March 1 -- The Jammu-Srinagar National Highway has been opened for Light Motor Vehicles (LMVs) Saturday afternoon, officials said.
The crucial Highway linking Kashmir with the rest of the country was shut on Friday due to landslides and shooting stones at several places from Ramban to Banihal.
Officials said LMVs are now permitted to travel both from Jammu towards Srinagar and from the Kashmir Valley towards Jammu.
They have advised commuters to strictly follow lane discipline and avoid overtaking, as such behavior may lead to traffic congestion.
