Jammu, April 15 -- A Jammu-based sociologist, during her 10-day visit to the Khour-Akhnoor sectors near the Indo-Pak border, has claimed that life is 'tough' for the border dwellers, who fight every day for their rights, hoping that 'all will be well' in the days to come.

Prof Abha Chauhan, former Head of the Department of Sociology, University of Jammu, who recently visited the forward villages along the India-Pakistan Border in Pallanwala and Khour sectors, said that imagining the life of border residents from the comfort of a cosy winter room or an air-conditioned summer room does not capture the reality, which is far more challenging.
