Jammu, Nov. 5 -- The 'City of Temples' on Wednesday celebrated Gurpurab, the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji here with religious fervour and gaiety.
Attired in colourful dresses, members of the Sikh community including women and children this morning, thronged Gurudwaras, religious congregations and offered special prayers.
The main function was held here at Gurdwara Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, Chand Nagar, situated in the heart of the city.
Thousands of Sikhs from different parts of the city and outskirts visited the Gurudwara to join the prayers while special langar (community kitchen) was also organised for the devotees.
