Jammu, Nov. 21 -- In a major operation, the Jammu District Administration today carried out an anti-encroachment and demolition drive, reclaiming land worth crores of rupees in village Sikanderpur, Bishnah, on the outskirts of the city.
Officials stated that the drive was carried out under the directives of District Magistrate Jammu, Dr. Rakesh Minhas, in coordination with SSP Jammu, Joginder Singh.
"The recovered land, measuring approximately 130 kanals, had been illegally occupied, with unauthorized structures erected by encroachers and individuals booked under the NDPS Act," officials said.
