Jalgaon, Nov. 3 -- Police have arrested four persons in connection with the theft of a passenger's travel bag containing around twenty lakh rupees from a platform in Bhusawal, the biggest rail junction in Maharashtra.

An official said today that Rs 1.5 lakh in cash has been recovered from the suspects following their detention, and further investigation is underway to trace the remaining amount.

According to police, the incident occurred on October 16 when the victim's bag, containing the large sum of cash, was stolen while he was standing on the platform. A formal complaint was subsequently registered at Lohmarg Police Station in Pune.
