Chandigarh, Dec. 19 -- BJP leader Sunil Jakhar has questioned the Punjab government's decision to convene a special Assembly session over the Centre's move to rename the MGNREGA scheme, suggesting that the state should also discuss law and order.

Reacting to Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann's announcement, Jakhar said public sentiment reflected growing concern over the law and order situation in the state. He pointed out that comments highlighting safety issues were being posted even under the Chief Minister's own social media messages announcing the special session.
