New Delhi, Aug. 29 -- Senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh today hit out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his visits to Japan and China, accusing him of focusing more on his image abroad than on pressing issues at home, particularly the Manipur crisis.

Calling Modi the "frequently flying (and more frequently lying) Prime Minister", Ramesh on X said, "The Frequently Flying (and more frequently lying) Prime Minister is off to Japan and China."Alleging that Modi's visit comes at a time when India is being compelled to normalise relations with Beijing, Ramesh called it "a moment of some reckoning for India".
