New Delhi, Oct. 15 -- Senior Congress leader and former union minister for environment and forests Jairam Ramesh today donned the hat of a climate activist.
In a statement, he voiced grave concern over the World Meteorological Organisation's (WMO) latest report, which revealed that atmospheric carbon dioxide concentrations have soared to an unprecedented 424 parts per million in 2024. This figure represents the steepest annual rise recorded since systematic measurements began in 1957.
