New Delhi, Dec. 21 -- Congress leader Jairam Ramesh on Sunday highlighted the significance of the MGNREGA Sameeksha, a compilation of 145 field studies on the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) conducted between 2008 and 2012. The anthology, released by former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in July 2012, provides valuable insights into the impact and challenges of MGNREGA.
Ramesh emphasized that the MGNREGA Sameeksha is "required reading" amidst the controversy surrounding the government's decision to scrap the landmark legislation.
