Bhind, June 5 -- A jail guard was suspended for allegedly beating inmates at the Lahar sub-jail in Bhind district of Madhya Pradesh, official sources said.
According to official information, the district administration received a complaint accusing jail guard Sonu Singh Kushwah of physically abusing inmates without reason.
An investigation revealed that on the night of May 30, the jail guard beat inmates with a stick. Bhind Collector Sanjeev Shrivastava directed the in-charge tehsildar Amit Dubey to conduct an inquiry, which found red and blue marks on the inmates' bodies, confirming the physical abuse.
