Kolkata, Aug. 15 -- Hindol Majumdar, a former student of Jadavpur University, was remanded to three days' police custody by a city court today in connection with the March 1 attack on West Bengal Education Minister Bratya Basu's car.

He will be produced before the court on August 18, the court said.

Majumdar, who has been pursuing research in Spain after completing his B.Tech in Pharmacy from Jadavpur University, was intercepted by immigration officials at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport yesterday night based on a lookout notice.

Delhi Police took him into custody before handing him over to a Kolkata Police team that had arrived to secure his transit remand. He was brought to the city earlier today and produced before the Ali...
