Lucknow, Dec. 24 -- The Income Tax Gazetted Officers' Association (ITGOA) has written to the union Finance Minister seeking urgent intervention to ensure the timely convening of the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) for regular promotions to the post of Assistant Commissioner of Income Tax (ACIT) for the Vacancy Year 2024.
In its representation, the Association stated that the proposal for the DPC was forwarded to the union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on September 12, 2025 and that all observations raised by the Commission were duly complied with.
