Bengaluru, Feb. 22 -- Medical student by day, champion by night - that is the story of Hanne Vandewinkel, who continued her dream run by clinching back-to-back titles in India while juggling the demands of a medical degree.
The 20-year-old Belgian underlined her growing stature on the circuit with another commanding performance in the final on Sunday evening, even as she revealed that university exams await her in a few days.
"It's amazing to win two tournaments in a row. It's never easy when you win a tournament and then restart, especially coming here with a bit of altitude and different circumstances. I think I managed pretty well and my level got better and better," Hanne said after her victory.
