New Delhi, July 31 -- In a major step towards improving the health and wellbeing of jawans posted in difficult high-altitude terrains, the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) today signed an agreement with the Department of Biotechnology (DBT).
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed here in presence of Rajesh S Gokhale, Secretary, DBT, Rahul Rasgotra, Director General, ITBP and other senior officials, an official statement said.
This collaboration aims to use modern biotechnology to solve the unique health and environmental challenges faced by ITBP personnel serving in some of the world's toughest and coldest border areas.
