Chennai, March 13 -- The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on Thursday scripted a new history and achieved a significant milestone in its space endeavour when it successfully undocked two mated Satellites launched as part of the Spadex docking experimental Mission.

In a post oin X, ISRO said "Spadex Undocking Successful! ".

"Congratulations to India on this milestone! "

The key sequence of events were SDX-2 extension successful; Capture Lever 3 released as planned; Capture Lever in SDX-2 disengaged and Decapture command issued in SDX-1 & SDX-2.

"FINALLY, SUCCESSFUL UNDOCKING! Congratulations, Team ISRO!", it wrote.
