Bengaluru, Dec. 17 -- Income Tax Department officials on Wednesday conducted raids at Bastian Pub, co-owned by Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty, on St Mary's Road here, following allegations of tax evasion.
The high-profile pub is reportedly among the city's most expensive nightlife venues.
The raids are part of a broader investigation linked to alleged late-night operations at Bastian and other pubs, after viral videos surfaced showing incidents beyond permitted hours. Bengaluru police have reportedly registered suo motu cases against the establishments.
Shilpa Shetty has denied all allegations, describing them as "baseless and motivated," and asserted that she is cooperating with the authorities.
