Kolkata, April 11 -- Facing a tough electoral battle, theatre personality and incumbent Trinamool Congress MLA Bratya Basu is expected to win this time also from his Dumdum seat as he is pitted against BJP's Bimal Shankar Nanda and CPI(M) nominee Palash das.
Mr Basu, who undertook several padayatras in the constituency, is sure of his victory.
In 2016, Mr Basu won the seat by defeating Palash Das from the Communist Party Of India (Marxist) with a margin of 9316 votes.
In 2011, Mr Basu won the seat by defeating Gautam Deb from the Communist Party of India (Marxist) with a margin of 31497 votes.
