New Delhi, Dec. 23 -- The Income Tax Department has launched a data-driven NUDGE campaign for the Assessment Year 2025-26, encouraging taxpayers to review and correct their deduction and exemption claims.
This initiative uses risk analytics to identify potentially ineligible claims, promoting voluntary compliance and accuracy in tax filings.
"The NUDGE campaign reflects the Government's commitment to fostering trust, transparency, and voluntary compliance," the Income Tax Department said.
The campaign targets areas like donation-related deductions (Sections 80G/80GGC) and disclosure of foreign assets (Schedule FA), where discrepancies have been identified.
