ISRO used electromechanical actuators for the first time in LVM3 rocket's first stage

Bangalore, Dec. 25 -- : The Indian space agency had used the electromechanical actuator for the first time in the first stage of its LVM3 rocket that successfully orbited the American satellite BlueBird 6 on Wednesday, informed Dr V Narayanan, chairman of ISRO and secretary to department of space here.VM3 rocket.

Dr S Unnikrishnan, former director of Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) and now distinguished professor VSSC, explained an electromechanical actuator and its role.
