Bhubaneswar, May 22 -- The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is planning to launch the Bharatiya Antariksh Station (BAS), a modular space station, by 2035, announced ISRO Chairman and Secretary of the Department of Space, Dr. V. Narayanan.
Dr. Narayanan shared this vision during an interaction with students, researchers, and faculty members at Siksha 'O' Anusandhan (Deemed to be University) in Bhubaneswar on Wednesday.
He emphasized that the launch of BAS would significantly boost India's presence in space research and promote advancements in space technology.
He also revealed that India's first human spaceflight mission, Gaganyaan, is expected to be launched in March 2027.
