Chennai, May 19 -- The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has formed
a committee to analyse the failure of yesterday's PSLV-C61/EOS-09 mission and
recommend measures.
The Failure Analysis Committee would go into the reasons for the glitch that appeared
during the third stage (with solid propellants) of the four-stage workhorse launch vehicle,
resulting in deviation in trajectory and the mission could not be accomplished.
According to ISRO Chairman V.Narayanan, the committee would study the causes that
led to the glitch in the third stage and recommend measures to be incorporated in the
future missions to prevent failures.
