Jerusalem, Oct. 9 -- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu convened the Security Cabinet in Jerusalem on Thursday evening for voting on the 20-point-initiave proposed by US President Donald Trump to end the war in Gaza and release all the hostages.
If the cabinet votes to approve the deal, the deal will then move to the Knesset for parliamentary ratification. If ratified, the IDF will formally declare a ceasefire, reports Times of Israel.
The government was set to convene at around 8 p.m. local time, after initially being scheduled to take place at 6 p.m. in the Knesset.
