Jerusalem, Sept. 17 -- In light of the increasing economic-political isolation that it is facing, Israel is striving to boost self-reliance on defence, with its Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu calling for the greater development of indigenous weapon systems to ensure its security.
His call for boosting self-reliance comes in the wake of the increasing boycott of its goods by several EU countries, which have announced in recent days that they would move towards arms embargoes on Israel and stop buying Israeli weapons amid the Gaza war.
