Jerusalem/Beirut, May 6 -- The Israeli military said it struck eastern and southern Lebanon on Monday night, targeting what it described as a "strategic weapons facility" and militant sites belonging to Hezbollah.
The military said in a statement that Hezbollah used the facility in the Beqaa area for the production and storage of strategic weapons. It also reported identifying attempts by Hezbollah to "re-establish presence and operations within the facility."
Additional strikes were carried out in the area of Srifa in southern Lebanon, where, according to the Israel Defence Forces (IDF), Hezbollah military infrastructure sites were targeted.
