Tel Aviv/Tehran, June 23 -- Israel's military has revealed it is using advanced electronic warfare to intercept waves of Iranian drones, as tensions between the two countries continue to escalate.
The operations have been spearheaded by the IDF's 5114th Spectrum Battalion-a highly specialised unit within the Computer Service Directorate-tasked with detecting and neutralising aerial threats in real time, according to The Times of Israel.
According to the IDF, troops of the CSD "have played a significant role in the mission to defend against unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) launched from Iran toward the State of Israel."
