Jerusalem, July 2 -- Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz vowed today to retaliate against Yemen's Houthi forces after a missile fired from Yemen toward Israel was intercepted earlier in the evening.
"Yemen will be treated like Tehran," Katz said in a statement. "Whoever raises a hand against Israel -- that hand will be cut off."
The missile, which triggered air raid sirens across parts of central and southern Israel, including Jerusalem and the Dead Sea, was intercepted by the Israeli Air Force, the military said. No injuries were reported.
