Nagpur, Dec. 31 -- Israel's Consul General to Midwest India, Yavin Revach, visited the Smruti Mandir Parisar at Reshimbagh in Nagpur, where he was briefed on the historical, cultural and ideological significance of the memorial dedicated to the founders of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), a press release said.

During the visit on Monday evening, Revach received a detailed overview of the life and work of Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar, the RSS founder and was informed about the role of Smruti Mandir as a centre of inspiration for millions of Sangh followers across the country.

He also paid tribute at the memorial of Dr M. S. Golwalkar, the organisation's second chief.
