Jerusalem, Jan. 11 -- Israel on Sunday urged the European union to designate Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization, Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar said.

Sa'ar said he raised the issue in a meeting in Jerusalem with German Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt, telling him that "now is the time to designate Iran's Revolutionary Guards as a terrorist organization within the European Union.""This has long been Germany's position, and today the importance of this matter is clear to all," Sa'ar said, without revealing Dobrindt's response.
