Jerusalem, Sept. 2 -- Israel's military said on Tuesday that Houthi forces in Yemen launched two missiles and a drone towards Israel, but none reached Israeli territory.
The missiles broke up over Saudi Arabia before entering Israel's airspace, while the drone was shot down by the Israeli air force before crossing into Israel, the military said in a statement, adding that no sirens were triggered.
The Houthis have stepped up attempts to target Israel in recent days after Israeli airstrikes in Yemen's capital, Sanaa, killed Ahmed al-Rahawi, the Houthi-run government's prime minister, along with several other ministers.
