Mumbai, Sept. 11 -- A special NIA court has rejected the defence claim that the accused arrested in the ISIS module case is of unsound mind and suffers from psychological illness, and therefore should be granted bail, a lawyer said today.

The court did not accept the defence submission and dismissed the bail plea, observing that based on the material placed before it, no person of sound mind would call the applicant/accused a person of unsound mind.

Special Judge Chakor S. Baviskar, in his order dated September 4 and made available today, noted that there were allegations that the accused had pledged allegiance to the Khalifa of the terrorist organisation ISIS, prepared content for its magazine, and claimed to be in touch with various "fo...
