London, Dec. 23 -- Liverpool said that Alexander Isak has undergone surgery after suffering a fracture to his left leg.
The club has not provided a timetable for his return, but the Sweden international is expected to be sidelined for at least several months.
In a statement, Liverpool said the 26-year-old had "successfully undergone surgery" following an "ankle injury that included a fibula fracture".
