Chennai, March 14 -- The IRNSS-1F satellite launched in March 2016 has completed its designed mission life of 10 years.
In an update, ISRO on Saturday said the spcecraft completed its mission life of ten years on 10th March 2026.
On Friday (13th March 2026), procured on-board Atomic clock stopped functioning.
However, the satellite will continue to function in-orbit for various societal applications to provide one way broadcast messaging services.
On March 11, 2016, ISRO's workhorse and reliable launch vehicle PSLV-C32, in its 34th flight, had successfully launched the 1,425 kg IRNSS-1F, the sixth satellite in the Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System (IRNSS) from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre SHAR, Sriharikota, which had marked ...
