Guwahati, Oct. 15 -- Tension prevailed in Lower Assam's Baksa district today as the Assam police shifted five accused in the Zubeen Garg death case to the newly inaugurated Baksa district Jail.

Hundreds of people gathered along the road in Baksa this morning and threw stones at the convoy carrying the five accused, forcing the police to resort to firing in the blank and charging batons to disperse the crowd.

The SIT on Wednesday morning produced the five arrested accused in the court and they were remanded in 14 day judicial custody. Upon remand in judicial custody, the five were taken to Baksa district Jail amid tight security.
