Nagpur, Oct. 4 -- Vidarbha tightened their hold on the Irani Cup encounter against Rest of India, stretching their overall lead to 224 runs by the close of play on the third day at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium here on Friday.

Resuming at 142 for 5 in reply to Vidarbha's first-innings total of 342, Rest of India faltered early in the morning session. Aditya Thakare struck with the very first ball of the day, trapping Manav Suthar lbw after a review overturned the umpire's original decision.
