Tehran/Washington, June 18 -- Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said on Wednesday that the country "is not one to surrender", a day after US President Donald Trump called for its unconditional surrender, amidst its ongoing war with Israel which has now entered its sixth day.
"Let the Americans know that the Iranian nation is not one to surrender, and any military intervention on their part will undoubtedly result in irreparable damage," Khamenei said in a national address, reports CNN.
After Trump called Khamenei "an easy target" for the US and Israel on Tuesday, he then ramped up his demands on Truth Social: "UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER!"
