Tehran, March 29 -- Iran has condemned the continuation of U.S. airstrikes on Yemen as well as new Israeli attacks targeting the Lebanese capital Beirut.
In statements released on Friday night, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei slammed the U.S. airstrikes on Yemen as "illegal and unjustified."
He called the attacks "criminal actions," which were in "flagrant violation" of the principles of the United Nations Charter and the fundamental rules of international law, including international humanitarian law and international human rights law.
Separately, Baghaei said the Israeli airstrikes on residential areas in Beirut were "a clear violation" of the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hezbollah.
