Tehran, June 25 -- More than 700 people have been arrested in Iran on suspicion of spying for Israel since June 13, and three others have been executed for espionage, Iranian news agency Fars reported on Wednesday.
The Iranian intelligence and security forces made most of the arrests in the provinces of Kermanshah, Isfahan, Khuzestan, Fars and Lorestan, the report said.
In addition, Iran executed three men accused of spying for Israeli foreign intelligence agency Mossad in Urmia Prison in West Azerbaijan province on Wednesday, the news agency reported. The men had attempted to import hardware into the country under the guise of alcohol shipments to commit terrorist acts.
