Tehran, May 11 -- The fourth round of indirect, Oman-mediated talks between Iran and the United States on the Iranian nuclear program and US economic sanctions on Tehran began in the Omani capital of Muscat on Sunday, Iranian news agency ISNA reported.

The talks mark a month since the first round was held in Oman in mid-April and comes after a two-week break - the longest pause in nuclear negotiating process so far.

The first and third rounds of indirect US-Iran talks were held in Muscat on April 12 and 26, while the second was held in Rome on April 19.
