IPS Upasana takes over as 50th SP in Kaithal

Kaithal, Sept. 25 -- Upasana, a 2017-batch IPS officer, has assumed charge as the 50th Superintendent of Police (SP) of Kaithal.

Notably, she has previously served as Kaithal SP from September 18, 2023, to August 17, 2024, before being transferred as SP of RTC Bhondsi.

Upon taking over, SP Upasana emphasized her priorities, which include maintaining law and order, ensuring women's safety, and preventing drug abuse in the district. She pledged to adopt a zero-tolerance policy against corruption and strengthen security mechanisms to prevent crimes and protect citizens' lives.

The SP outlined her focus areas, including maintaining law and order, improving the traffic system, and cracking down on drug traders.
