Hyderabad, March 26 -- Telangana IT and Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu informed the Legislative Assembly on Thursday that the State government has secured significant investments through agreements signed at the World Economic Forum in Davos.

Replying to questions raised by members during Question Hour, the Minister stated that the government had signed 44 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with collective investments worth Rs 2.19 lakh crore at Davos and these investments are expected to generate around 68,150 direct employment opportunities in the State.

Providing further details, Babu said that during the 2024 Davos visit alone, Telangana had signed18 MoUs bringing in investments worth Rs 40,232 Crore.
