Inventory of Sri Jaganath temple Ratna Bhandar slated to be completed before Rath yatra

Puri, Dec. 28 -- The inventory of Sri Jaganath temple Ratna Bhandar (treasury)is slated to be completed before the 2026 annual Rath Yatra, temple Chief Adminstrator Arabind Padhee said on Sunday.

After the meeting of Ratna Bhandar high-level committee headed by former justice Biswanath Rath held on Saturday, Padhee, said the enumeration of ornaments of the Ratna Bhandar would be conducted in three phases in the presence of officers from the RBI and an SBI-approved goldsmith. The work is slated to be completed before the 2026 annual Rath Yatra.

The meeting discussed the eleven-page Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) prepared by the Ratnabhandar sub-committee to make a fresh inventory of the lord's wealth.
