Puri, April 13 -- Inventory of Bhitar Ratnabhandar of Sri Jagannath temple began on Monday amid tight security in adherence to standard operating procedure set by the government. .

Aravind Padhee, chief administrator of Sri Jagannath temple, told the media that as per the SOP the Bhitar Ratnabhandar Bhandar lock was opened in presence of a magistrate and the representative of Gajapati.

The keys were brought from the district treasury.

According to the chief administrator, ornaments from the Almirah was drawn and were put on the sindhukas (special chests) after recording weight, description, and naming of each items by the Deula Bania (temple goldsmith)of each items.
