Jaipur, Dec. 22 -- A young 3-year old Pench tigress airlifted from the Suktara airstrip of Madhya Pradesh has reached Ramgarh Vishdhari sanctuary in Bundi district on Monday morning, marking completion of the historic interstate shifting of the big cat.

This is the first interstate translocation of tigers into Rajasthan, the second in the country.

The chosen tigress PN-224 was tranquilised at Pench forest and put into the transit cage to the airstrip around 5:30 am for flying to Jaipur by an IAF MI-17 chopper. The chopper landed at the Sanganer airport around 10:30 pm on Sunday night.
