Hyderabad, Jan. 13 -- The three-day International Kite and Sweet Festival was inaugurated with grandeur at the Parade Grounds here on Tuesday evening, with the city skies turning into a vibrant spectacle of colourful kites.
Telangana Tourism and Culture Minister Jupally Krishna Rao, along with Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, formally launched the global cultural event in the presence of participants from 25 Indian states and several other countries.
Addressing the gathering, Jupally Krishna Rao said such festivals, rooted in history, play a key role in preserving Telangana's culture and traditions for future generations.
