New Delhi, Dec. 17 -- The Delhi Police dismantled an international digital fraud extortion syndicate operating a notorious 'digital arrest' scam, arresting ten accused, including the kingpin, an official said on Tuesday.

According to the police, the arrests followed coordinated raids across seven states: Delhi, Kerala, Maharashtra, Odisha, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, and Haryana.

The action was initiated after an FIR was registered at the Shaheen Bagh police station on December 7, following a complaint by a resident who was duped of Rs 99,888.
