Srinagar, March 14 -- The Kashmir plains continue to receive widespread intermittent rainfall, while some higher reaches witnessed light snowfall over the past 24 hours.

The Kashmir Valley has been experiencing rainfall for the past five days, and the Meteorological Centre Srinagar on Friday predicted widespread light to moderate rain and snow to continue across Jammu and Kashmir for the next 48 hours.

The weather is likely to remain dry from March 17 to March 24.

Srinagar and other parts of Kashmir valley were lashed by widespread intermittent rains leading to drop in the temperature and disrupting the normal activities. The precipitation continued at many places across the valley on Friday.
