Prayagraj, March 30 -- In a significant verdict, the Allahabad High Court has maintained that under Articles 14, 15, and 21 of the Constitution of India, an inter-faith couple living in a ''live-in relationship'' does not constitute a crime.

The Allahabad High Court made the observation while hearing a petition filed by an inter-faith couple living in a live-in relationship, seeking protection.

The order was issued by a single bench comprising Justice Vivek Kumar Singh.

The verdict was given on March 18 last but was uploaded on the court's website on Monday.
