Jammu, Dec. 17 -- In view of the prevailing security scenario, the Jammu Range Deputy Inspector General of Police, Shiv Kumar, on Wednesday reviewed the ongoing operational preparedness in the Billawar area of Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir.
He was flanked by Mohita Sharma, SSP Kathua, SSP Samba Varinder Manhas, and other senior officers.
The review was conducted in the backdrop of the recent firing incident reported from the Soan area of Udhampur district.
The DIG also visited Kamla Top, Billawar, to assess ground-level security arrangements.
During the review, DIG Kumar emphasised the importance of maintaining peace and security across the region.
